# About Polylane

> Polylane detects production issues and fixes them by opening pull requests.

## Why Polylane exists

Observability tooling got very good at storing telemetry and very bad at answering the only question that matters at 3am: what broke, why, and what's the fix. Polylane's position is that software should operate itself: agents detect issues by reading the actual signals, investigate with the team's real tools, end the incident where the action is reversible, and ship the permanent fix as a pull request that humans still review. Nobody should be on-call.
