Uninstall the Praxen Inc. CLI
One command on macOS or Linux, the exact inverse of the setup script. Fetching this URL from a terminal (curl, wget) returns the script itself.
curl -fsSL https://getpraxen.app/uninstall | sh What the script does
- Backs up
~/.praxen(including your credentials) to~/praxen-backup-<timestamp>.tar.gzbefore deleting anything, so you can restore or inspect later. Skip the backup withsh -s -- --no-backup. - Revokes the MCP API key the setup script minted when your session is still signed in, and signs you out locally.
- Removes the
praxenandpraxen-mapsMCP servers from every coding agent the setup script wires up: Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, opencode, Windsurf, pi, Warp, Cline, Roo, Gemini, Zed, and Codex. - Removes the Praxen Inc. agent skills, the
praxensymlinks, and the PATH entries the setup script added to your shell rc files (marker blocks and legacy exact lines alike). Hand-written config is never touched. - Uninstalls the Homebrew formula when the setup script used the Homebrew fallback.
- Safe to re-run, and preview everything first with
sh -s -- --dry-run.
What stays
Your Praxen Inc. account, workspace, and connected integrations are not touched: manage or delete them at
console.getpraxen.app.
Project-scope agent configs written by praxen setup --project inside individual repositories stay in place too; remove those entries per repository.
Changed your mind?
curl -fsSL https://getpraxen.app/setup | bash Run the setup script again and sign back in: your workspace reconnects.
